For a while I drove a van and used to take my dog to work so I invested in an XL RAC Car Harness and it made life so much easier, knowing my dog was safe and able to enjoy her rides to work. Dogs also seem to have an innate need to hang their heads out of front windows but the harness prevents them from doing this, so reduces the risk of these type of accidents too.
The harness simply attaches to your dog and the reinforced loop at the back slides through the seat belt. Very easy to use and essential if you don’t have a hatchback or a crate.
